Released in 1987, La Aurora released a new premium brand as a tribute to the company founders. León Jimenes, the cigar that wears the surnames of those who worked hard to make it possible: Eduardo León Jimenes, the actual founder, and his brother Herminio León Jimenes, the man that kept the Leon’s family legacy and tradition alive when Eduardo passed in 1937. Fifty years after, La Aurora started the production of the new brand, looking for the trendy Connecticut wrapper for the consumers who like a smooth and elegant smoke with wooden flavors, bitter cocoa and nutty spots. Binder and filler were initially only from Dominican Cibao Valley’s best leaves, but some Nicaraguan tobacco was added by our master blender in order to reach the taste and aroma consistency. Without a doubt, the result is at the demands as much respect as the name it wears.
